Holiday & Training Week
Fancy a weeks holiday where you can also do some sports training?
River walks only 10 minutes away
Lovely sandy beaches about an hour away – choice of a few different ones
Lovely big forest for dog walking approx 20 minutes away – with both woodland paths and hard track/concrete paths
If you like SUP or Open Water Swimming, there are plenty of places locally where you can also do this.
There is a local Canicross group so there is potential to join a social meet and run.
There are some local bikejorers as well so there is potential there too.
Pubs – there is a dog friendly pub on your doorstep at the lodges but plenty of local pubs around as well.
7Days/6 Night stay PLUS 10 hours of training included – approx 2.5 hours per day split across 4 days (1.5hrs am and 1hr pm), however this can be split in different ways depending on other activities you want to do.
Arrive sunday and explore the local area and check in to the Lodge.
Travel home saturday when you have finished holidaying.

All this for just £800
The Lodges that we use for the Stay’n’Train bookings don’t belong to us, they are a very local business – being just at the end of the road! There are Double or Twins available with nice modern bathrooms with showers. Warm and cosy rooms with a fast Wifi connection and a tv, they are a perfect place to relax and rest with your pooch between training sessions or holiday adventures. Large hard-standing car park right outside, plenty of space for turning around big dog vans!
The Shephers Tap & Crook is very dog friendly – theres normally a treat jar on the bar to welcome the doggies!
Its at the road-end of the car park from the lodges, so its quite literally on your doorstep, meaning food and drinks with your furry friend are super easy. And no driving required if you fancy a tipple or two! (just remember you may need to drive the next day to training, although this is walkable if needs be! always drink responsibly).
This pub has recently changed hands and the new owners are even putting on some fun events like quizzes, 80s music nights etc – more information in the bar itself or via their social media pages.
